About Me:

Ok so ... here's my face. (I don't always smoulder like this - just when I'm trying to be casually professional)

Anyway, hi.

I'm JT.

The 'RT' part is short for Recreation Therapist.

"JT the RT" - it's cute right? Like, it rhymes a bit. That's fun.

A little more about me:

I've been a CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) since 2009.

I've been running experiential therapy groups for even longer - since 2004.

I've worked in multiple settings: wilderness programs, residential treatment centers, and hospitals.

I've worked with adults, adolescents, and pediatrics.

The majority of my career has been aimed at improving the mental health of my patients and residents.

I'm regularly involved in contributing to my professional community: I present annually at Recreation Therapy conferences, I've delivered key note addresses, I've provided CEU workshops for my RT peers, and I host RT facebook groups.
